The impact of the information age is overestimated. Hollywood's charm remains seductive and all-pervasive. We need feel-good pills, and heroes and villains to avoid problems with meaning. Heinous villains and noble heroes so as to not inadvertently muddle them, and to avoid uncomfortable questions about what we would do. Most importantly, if necessary, we can change channels.

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights will be holding a public roundtable session on December 1st, 2009 in Toronto, ON and would like to invite you to participate. Ukraine's former Defense Minister Anatoliy Grytsenko announced the official beginning of his campaign today, after submitting his documents to the Central Election Commission. He compared himself to a private, who volunteered to go to war. Grytsenko's war is the battle against «the state ruled by corrupt officials, criminals and scoundrels».

Very recently, - on September 30th, in fact, President Yushchenko held an outdoor press conference in Kyiv.
