British Minister for Europe Glenys Kinnock considers that Ukraine is the most democratic country in the Commonwealth of Independent States, she told the Holos Ukrainy (Voice of Ukraine) newspaper on June 18.
"We admit that Ukraine has reached enormous success on the way to democracy. Now, Ukraine is the most democratic country in the CIS," Kinnock said.
She also said that the democratic achievement of Ukraine will be able to help the country on the way to the signing of the agreement on association with the European Union.
She said that the signing of this agreement will make Ukraine closer to the EU in the sector of international policy, security policy, human rights, supremacy of the law, and migration.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Britain hopes Ukraine will sign the agreement of the association with the European Union in 2009.
