Stoltenberg said that Russian actions in eastern Ukraine undermined the Euro-Atlantic security. In a telephone conversation with US President Barack Obama, head of the European Council Donald Tusk dealt with the fact that the EU and the US are working on new sanctions against Russia. Western media report that Putin is looking for allies against the West over Ukraine. The German magazine Focus writes that Turkey can be an attractive partner for Russia, taking into account the fact that Turkey has not imposed sanctions against Moscow yet.
